Drawing and Colouring

You can draw directly on screen, like these examples below by 7- and 8-year-old children at Evenlode Primary School near Cardiff. Or you can draw on paper and then photograph using the iPad’s or tablet’s camera, like the flowers from the meadow image on our home page. To colour a drawing, a bounded area is selected and then filled with a chosen ‘digital paint’: captured from natural materials they have an uncanny ability to bring drawings to life.

Above: Manhole cover; feathers; table setting.

ArtForAll works on phones and tablets and is available as a free download from the APPLE and GOOGLE app stores.
